The wife of a lawmaker, Hon. Nelson Ofem, Member of the Cross River State House of Assembly has been kidnapped.

Mrs. Nseobong Ofem was kidnapped at Ikot Ishie town in Calabar Municipality Local Government Area in Calabar town, Cross River State when she drove in her husband’s SUV to visit her mother.

She was kidnapped on her way back to the car when the abductors forced her into their car which they parked behind her own.

An eyewitness said… “Those who escorted her to the car raised alarm but the boys sped off with her to an unknown destination”.
