Gov. Udom Battles Ex-Governor Akpabio

Akpabio-and-Udom-EmmanuelThe father and son relationship between Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa-Ibom State and ex-Gov. Godswill Akpabio who installed him has crashed like a tokunbo car engine. Those in the know told us that the ex-governor got the shock of his life when the new governor whom he worked so hard and made political enemies to install as his successor rejected his elder brother, Sir Emem Akpabio as Secretary to the State Government.

Sources added that he dazed his predecessor again when he ordered bulldozers to demolished Ex-Gov. Akpabio’s brother’s Petro Station situated between Power Chapel Church and Sammies Eatery along Nnamba Road, Uyo. The Petro Station belongs to Prince Ukpong Akpabio.

We were told that the new governor gave his former boss another blow when ensured that his candidate Hon. Ime Okon representing Ibiono Ibom Constituency did not emerged the speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly. Instead, the governor supported Hon. Aniekan Uko from Ibesikpo Asutan State Constituency to become the speaker of 6th Assembly of Akwa-Ibom State House of Assembly.
