Nigerian telecommunication giant, Globacom, was recently given an award of recognition for its contributions to road safety in the country over the years.
During the award of recognition to Glo by the FRSC
The recognition award was officially presented to Globacom during a dinner party to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) at the Nigeria Airforce (NAF) Conference Centre and Suites in Abuja.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Gida Mustapha presented the award to Globacom’s Acting National Coordinator, Public Sector Sales, Mansur Opakunle and the company’s Regional Head, North Central, Ike Onuekwusi. The SSG thanked Globacom for being a pillar of support to FRSC, making the job of the Commission easier.
Furthermore, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi, Corps Marshal of the FRSC also lauded Globacom among the corporate bodies for their support on the Commission’s bid to make the roads safe over the years. He advised Globacom and the other supporting corporate companies not to relent on their laurels as the task to make the roads safe is a continuous one.
