Glo Campus Storm To Hold In UniUyo Tomorrow

glo-LogoStudents and the entire campus community of the University of Uyo are set to host the Glo Campus Storm music concert on Friday.

The nationwide students’ entertainment show, sponsored by Globacom, kicked off at the University of Port Harcourt on Friday, October 7. It has also been held at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, and the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri. The concert will be held at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Friday, November 4.

A road activation team of the Glo Campus Storm were seen within and around the University campus on Thursday creating awareness for the concert. The activation crew moved around the city, distributing flyers and attracting the attention of Akwaibomites who watched with keen interest.

At the university campus, students converged on the arena where the activation crew were stationed to make enquiries about the concert. Academic and non-academic staff of the school also showed their excitement in the high octane event.

Lined up for the entertainment of the students are reigning Nigerian music super stars like Runtown and Glo ambassadors, Reekado Banks and Flavour. Popular Comedian Gordons is expected to be the anchor, while DJ Neptune will control the music console.

A number of students who aired their views on the concert expressed eagerness and excitement at what they call “the rave of the year”. Uduak Ekpenyong, a 300 level student said, “there had been rumours that the Glo Campus Storm will be held in this school for some months now, and we kept on hoping and praying that it happens. Now, it has been confirmed. It’s great news to us”.

The Glo Campus Storm concert is an entertainment show designed to reward students nationwide. The students will also have the opportunity of winning mouth-watering prizes and becoming Glo Campus Ambassadors”, the statement read.
