The appointment with Prophet T.B Joshua was for 2.30pm on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at his massive Synagogue Church of All Nations located at Ikotun-Egbe area of Lagos State.

Since we have been meeting over the years and knowing his kind of person; I got to the venue at about 2pm and sat inside my car at the car park. I knew he keeps to appointments and I didn’t want to be found wanting as the man of God has thousands of people from different parts of the world to attend to everyday.

As I was driving into the church area, I saw massive construction work going on both sides of the road that the church occupies and I saw black and white people all over the place. They have come to the church which is now a Jerusalem of some sort to Christians from different parts of the world.

At about 3pm; one of his aides, a female took us in for refreshment and minutes later, the man of God showed up simply and dressed in a blue T-shirt with the inscription “Let’s Lead” atop a carton coloured short knickers. His beards were dotted with some grey hairs. He wore a pair of black trainers. His simplicity was overwhelming.

Happy birthday Sir, we greeted him and he answered warmly “My friends and brothers, you are welcome. Today, I am 51years old but I am not celebrating. All the same, I am very happy to see you all once again. I was actually on my way to the mountain but I had to come back to attend to you. You know you guys are very important to me. Please, bear with me.

After this short meeting, I will find time so that we have lunch or dinner together and we talk more”.

We shook hands and he left for the mountain.
