Folake Ani-Mumuney Becomes ADVAN President

Folakemi Ani-Mumuney, Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, First Bank of Nigeria Limited has been elected President of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN), she was elected into the position at the association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Lagos recently, thus making her the first female president of ADVAN.

Mrs Ani-Mumuney who spoke consequent upon her inauguration, expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the honour bestowed on her to lead ADVAN as the first female President. She said she would use her wealth of experience to run the association and take it to the next level. For those who don’t know, ADVAN is a highly respected advertising and marketing communication industry in Nigeria.

Mrs Ani-Mumuney is a graduate of Philosophy from the University of Lagos and also has a degree in Law from the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom. She is an accomplished business strategist and resourceful corporate communicator with several awards in marketing.

She is a highly experience professional with over 20years of work experience spanning across Banking, Aviation, FMCG, Manufacturing and Oil & Gas Industry sectors. Also, she has held various positions, leading strategy and business planning, process re-engineering, new business development and marketing. Mrs Ani-Mumuney with her wealth of experience has worked with various leading global brands in Nigeria such as; British Airways Plc where she served as Manager, Brands, Policies and Communications, Europe and Africa followed by Dangote Group as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer and currently the Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, FirstBank.

She has hitherto managed portfolios in different locations globally and held responsibility for diverse regions such as Europe & Africa, Asia Pacific, Middle East and the United Kingdom at various points in her career.
