Eid-el-Kabir: Glo Felicitates With Muslims, Hails Prophet Ibrahim’s Selfless Sacrifice

Eid-el-Kabir is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide. It is celebrated at the end of yearly pilgrimage (Hajj) to Mecca and to commemorate the sacrifice that Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) performed for God on his son Ishmael.

The celebrations start after the Hajj, when the pilgrims to Mecca in Saudi Arabia descend from Mount Arafat and this comes up on the 10th, 11th and 12th day of the twelfth and the last Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah of the lunar Islamic calendar.

The date is approximately 70 days (2 Months & 10 days) after the end of the month of Ramadan.
