EFCC Denies Rumours Of Magu Removal

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has hitherto reacted to speculations on the removal of Ibrahim Magu as Acting Chairman of the commission.

The anti-graft agency, however tweeted via its official handle that: “There is no change of guards. #Alert: For the avoidance of any doubt, there is no “change of guards” at the EFCC. Ibrahim Magu remains the acting EFCC Chairman.”

“Purveyors of #fakenews concerning the EFCC are hereby warned to desist from such mischief as the anti-graft agency remains committed to its mission.”

Be that as it may, Magu’s purported removal​ is as a result of the recent debate, following the declaration by the Nigerian Senate that he is not regarded as the EFCC chairman.
