That world respected man of God, Papa Enoch Adejare Adeboye has stepped down as the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Nigeria is stale news. However, there seems to be a fresh controversy over the actual new position of the great man of God.

On Saturday January 7, 2017 the personal assistant to the man of God issued a release stating that Papa Adeboye is now the General Overseer Worldwide of the church. However, in another release issued by Pastor J.F Odesola, the Assistant GO (Admin), said Pastor Adeboye would remain as Spiritual Leader and Global Missioner of the church.

Besides, Pastor Segun Adegbiji, Head of Media and Public Relations of the church issued a fresh statement saying that Papa Adeboye would now pay greater attention to global evangelism.
