Apostolic Church Icon, A. M. Ikpe Goes Home In Colours

Apostle (Dr) Amos Metz Ikpe Rtd.Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has extolled the Evangelism prowess of the Pioneer Field Superintendent of the Apostolic Church Nigeria, Late Apostle (Dr) Amos Metz Ikpe Rtd. which has brought about the expansion of the Church to all  nooks and cranny of the State and Country.

Governor Emmanuel gave the commendation in a condolence presented at the funeral service of the renowned cleric, Late Apostle Amos Ikpe, at the Uyo Township stadium.

The Governor noted with satisfaction the spread of Apostolic Church in the various stations the deceased had served and commended the Church for the zeal in sustaining the Christian faith and doctrine.

The State Chief Executive pointed out that the Late Apostle, in his life time, had proved his mettle in the Lord’s vineyard given the number of people he had touched and the Communities the Church has been established.

Borrowing the words of Apostle Paul in the Bible, the Governor said that the late Field Superintendent of The Apostolic Church had run the race to wear the crown of Glory, urging the Church, the family and Efa Community in Etinan Local Government Area to be consoled by the footprints established by the patriarch during his earthly sojourn and pledged a donation in support of the Church Administrative Complex built as a memorial to Late Apostle Ikpe at the Uyo Field Superintendency Headquarters.

Governor Emmanuel regret that death has deprived the Patriarch from witnessing the landmark infrastructural transformation about to invade the entire Iman Clan with a dualised carriageway from Etinan junction through Efa to Awa Iman in Onna Local Government Area, as a signpost.

In an homily the National President of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Apostle Gabriel Olutola, advised Christians to uphold the virtue of righteousness. Taking his texts from the book of Numbers chapter 23 verse 10 to11, the man of God described the deceasd as a man of valour who fought the fight of life and is elevated to be with the Lord in Heaven.

A biography of the Late Apostle Amos Ikpe read by his Eldest son Elder Udeme Ikpe, described the deceased as a faithful servant of God who sacrificed all material pursuit to serve in the Lord’s vineyard for the salvation of mankind.

Elder Udeme Ikpe announced a donation of a truck load of Cement for the construction of an Administrative Complex built to immortalise their father.

Condolences from National Executive Council of the Church, Cooperate Organisations and Field Superintendence of the Church were presented to the family.
