Come May 29th this year, Nigeria and Nigerians will have a new first lady and she is Hajia Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, wife of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, president elect of Nigeria. Now, most people don’t know much about her until she accompanied the husband to some of the presidential campaigns.

The incoming First Lady is related to the former EFCC boss, Nuhu Ribadu. She is the granddaughter of the First Chiroma of Adamawa. She hails from Adamawa State. She got married to Gen. Buhari on December 2nd 1989.
Her Excellency is a member of United Kingdom Vocational Training and Charitable Trust and the International Health and Beauty Council. She is also a graduate student of International Affairs and Strategic Planning. Hajia Aisha’s passion for the empowerment of Nigerian women led her to organize a fund raising dinner for all female candidates of the CPC.
